Derek Kaufman - Founder and CEO

Derek Kaufman

Founder and CEO

Derek Kaufman is Founder and CEO of Inclusive Abundance, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization building a dynamic community of notable policy experts, public officials, business leaders, and philanthropists to shape America’s future through an abundance-focused agenda. Inclusive Abundance builds on Mr. Kaufman’s previous policy work in areas ranging from the Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan to the Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs in the CHIPS and Science Act. 

His prior career in finance included serving as Head of Global Fixed Income at the hedge fund Citadel and as Global Head of Fixed Income in the Proprietary Positioning Business at JPMorgan Chase. He was a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets.

He is currently on the Boards of Third Way, the Constructive Dialogue Institute, and the Regional Plan Association, and on the Leadership Council of the Robin Hood Foundation.

Mr. Kaufman received a bachelor’s degree in Applied Math/Economics from Harvard College.

Baillee Brown

Head of Government and External Affairs

Baillee Brown is the Head of Government and External Affairs at Inclusive Abundance. She previously worked for Rep. Scott Peters for ten years, most recently as his DC chief of staff. She played a key role in shaping his legislative agenda and public profile, particularly in the areas of energy and climate policy and fiscal responsibility. Originally from Arizona, she graduated from Occidental College with a degree in politics.

Brianna Johnson - Head of Communications

Brianna Johnson

Head of Communications

Brianna Johnson is a seasoned communications strategist who joins the team after having served as the Wisconsin Communications Director for the Harris for President Campaign and as Media Director for Ben Wikler's DNC Chair bid. 

Prior to that, she was the Director of Communications for Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, where she oversaw the governor’s official-side communications through a successful re-election campaign and legislative sessions. She started her career at the communications consultancy Evergreen Strategy Group after graduating from the University of Southern California. She is from Dallas, Texas.

Anna Marcus - Executive Assistant

Anna Marcus

Executive Assistant

Anna Marcus is the Executive Assistant at Inclusive Abundance. She previously worked at The Bridgespan Group, where she supported senior leadership and helped coordinate initiatives focused on social impact.

Prior to her work in operations and administration, Anna was a teacher, where she developed strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for creating structure within dynamic environments. Anna received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Pennsylvania State University. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.

Scott Quinn - Director of Government Affairs

Scott Quinn

Director of Government Affairs

Scott Quinn is the Director of Government Affairs and External Affairs at Inclusive Abundance. He brings 11+ years of experience in government affairs, political strategy, and advocacy. He previously served as Director of External Affairs at Arnold Ventures, where he advised leadership on political affairs and directed the AV’s engagement with Members of Congress and senior staff. 

Prior, he was Vice President of Government Affairs at Education Reform Now and has held government affairs roles at the KIPP Foundation and other school choice organizations. He also served as Chief of Staff for Infrastructure Operations at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and worked at a government relations firm representing energy and automotive clients. His career began as a teacher in Charleston, South Carolina.

Scott attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Raised in South Carolina, he now resides in Washington, D.C.

Joshua Seawell - Head of Policy

Joshua Seawell

Head of Policy

Joshua Seawell is the Head of Policy at the Inclusive Abundance Initiative. He previously worked at The Bridgespan Group, where he advised philanthropic and nonprofit clients; the think tank Employ America, where he supported political strategy on nominations among other work; and BerlinRosen, where he supported impact-driven clients on communications strategy and strategy execution.

He continues to support Employ America as a member of its Board. Joshua received a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies with honors from Stanford University, with a minor in Political Science. He received a Master in Public Affairs degree from SPIA at Princeton University. Joshua resides in Los Angeles.

Will Viederman - Chief of Staff

Will Viederman

Chief of Staff

Will Viederman is the Chief of Staff at the Inclusive Abundance Initiative. He previously led policy at Elm City Communities/the Housing Authority of New Haven, where he advanced state and local reforms to promote housing abundance. 

Earlier in his career, he worked on and managed electoral campaigns at the state and local level in Colorado, Virginia, and Connecticut. Will holds a bachelor's degree with distinction in Political Science from Yale University and a Master of Public Administration from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service, where he received the Martin Dworkis Memorial Award. Originally from Western Massachusetts, he now lives in Brooklyn, NY.
