Today, we’re proud to announce The Abundance Agenda, a marquee project organized by Inclusive Abundance Initiative, to articulate a wide-ranging federal policy platform built on the abundance framework. The project was announced in Axios earlier this morning.
Abundance has already shown success as an organizing framework for housing and energy. But its principles can and should reach further, and the debates that await in 2027 and 2028 are a rare opportunity to showcase a more ambitious national vision.
To that end, the agenda will include not only core abundance areas (housing, energy, public sector effectiveness, and innovation) but new areas like health care, child care, workforce, and place-based policy. Even within core areas, it will offer something new, like positive-sum solutions on AI in the “Innovation” section. Across topics, the approach will remain signature: expand supply and lower costs by cutting red tape, revitalizing government, and designing win-win solutions.
To get it done, we’ll need partners, including you! We’re lucky to be starting with an all-star advisor team that you can read about here. And we’re proud to announce that the University of Michigan’s Nicholas Bagley, whose famous piece The Procedure Fetish has been a core inspiration for our work, has already signed on to be a contributor. Look out for upcoming contributor announcements in the coming months.
We still need help, especially from prospective authors. Our request for proposals will give you a greater sense of what we’re looking for. We’re eager to hear the best abundance-aligned ideas from across America, whether they’re gestating in D.C. think tanks or quietly modeling success in a state or city. If you’re reading this post you have something to contribute or know someone who does. Make sure they apply here before June 5. (We also welcome advice and networking to make this project a success.)
